I don’t know about you, but very often those hair-biz buzz words can get a little confusing…and I’m actually part of the biz! Sorta. I guess. Sxc.hu If you are feeling a bit apprehensive when you hear words like blunt, baliyage or shattered lines, I think this may hep – we consulted super-hot stylist Jet of Jet Rhys Salon and learned that from coast to coat, and country to country, terms and their meaning differ greatly. Saying the wrong thing can lead to a very different look than you had intended! Hair guru Jet Rhys helped us out with some tips. Scissors vs Razors “Scissors offer precision,” says Jet. Cuts done with scissors will have a visibly blunt edge that looks freshly cut. If you desire a clean and polished look, scissors are the perfect tool. The razor gives the hair a shattered line, unlike the blunt look achieved with scissors.
