Keeping Your Hair Healthy

This morning, I was in the studio filming a commercial for a local showroom – I’m super excited about it except for one minor issue…my hair was a MESS today. It was a fairly low budget production, so I did my own hair – and being I am going through a frizzy/fried/need a hair cut stage…it was sad. Sxc.hu My new goal is to keep my hair happy and healthy all the time so that I never have to go through this state of embarrassment and disarray again. I consulted Frederic States of Frederic States Hair Studio and he had some suggestions: The best at home “treatment” for your hair is the natural oil your scalp produces . It can’t be replicated! Invest in a boar bristle brush and brush your hair every night. Pulling out the oil from your scalp is the best treatment ever…and it’s free! STOP! sleeping on your hair. The friction with your hair in between your body and mattress will tatter your hair ends. Avoid shampooing daily ..and if you do, wash your scalp only…not your hair..you will save your color, keep your hair from drying out and save money from over shampooing. Avoid rubber bands, metal clips and caps or any other item that causes a “pulling” on your hair…this will avoid hair breakage Get your hair trimmed at least every 8 weeks …this will keep your ends clean, smooth and from splitting out to the scalp Post from: Splendicity .
